Central Community College softball ended its season a win away from the 2025 NJCAA DII Softball World Series. The Raiders claimed the Region IX Championship with a 7-3 win over North Platte Community College on May 4, to earn hosting rights for the Northwest Plains A District Championship. CCC would host the No. 9 team in the county, Kirkwood Community College. The Raiders would win the opening game 3-2 before dropping the final two games 3-2 and 7-2 to end their season.

COLUMBUS — Aquinas senior Izzie Kadavy and the Scotus Central Catholic girls soccer team are heading back to state. The Shamrocks hosted York at Memorial Stadium at Pawnee Park in the Class B-2 District Championship Saturday, with a spot at Morrison Stadium on the line. York would get the best of Scotus early with a 1-0 lead and a 2-1 lead before the Shamrocks battled to a 6-2 victory.
