    KEITHVILLE, La. (KSLA/Gray News) – The mother of a 2-year-old girl who was killed in a murder-suicide that left three others dead is at a loss for why it happened. Kara Hanning, the mom of 2-year-old Adalynn Mae Sadler, said she wouldn’t wish this tragedy on anybody. On May 5, the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office was called out to a home in Keithville, Louisiana, to do a welfare check. When deputies got there, they said Adalynn’s grandfather, 60-year-old Leroy Sadler, refused to communicate with them.

Nebraska Athletics said in Tuesday’s announcement that the Huskers will kick off against Cincinnati in Kansas City at 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28. “The matchup with Cincinnati in Kansas City marks Nebraska’s second neutral-site opener in four seasons after opening the 2022 season against Northwestern in Dublin, Ireland,” the release states.

    LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) — Friday was the first time Yankee Hill Education Center students got to cast aside their usual schoolwork and trade their pens and paper for rods and lures. Lincoln Public Schools hosts a fishing tournament for students every May, with Yankee Hill’s students able to join for the first time this year. Dozens of students lined the shore of an unusually calm Holmes Lake, sharing a laugh while watching their peers learning to bait and cast.
