EDENTON — Chowan officials have signed off on a request to seek a grant that would be used to transport veterans to and from appointments with the Veterans Administration. Chowan Veterans Services Director Wayne Bray presented the request to the Board of Commissioners on Monday night. Bray was seeking permission to apply for a $20,000 grant from the N.C. Department of Military and Veterans Affairs.
