The Brazosport Facts originated from the combination of multiple early newspapers in Brazoria County. It was established in 1913 by a printer named Roy Ruffin, just a few months following the creation of Freeport and the Freeport Sulphur Company.

    DANBURY — Four candidates are seeking to serve Position 6 on the Danbury ISD Board of Trustees, take over from a temporary appointee. The seat is held by Roy LoStracco, who the board appointed to the seat when Tim Dean resigned June 17. LoStracco is not running to keep the position. Kirby Calhoun is on the finance committee at his church, serves on the Alvin Girls Softball Association and is a volunteer with Danbury ISD.
