TV5 investigates lists that track credibility concerns of police officers

The lists contain the names of law enforcement officers who may have crossed the line while wearing the badge. Some are no longer working in law enforcement, but TV5 investigative reporter Meredith St. Henry found some still are.
Pregnant woman, 2 young daughters killed in house fire

KINGSVILLE TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WOIO/Gray News) – A pregnant woman and her two young daughters died in a house fire Monday morning in Ohio. According to the Ashtabula County Sheriff’s Office, the 24-year-old pregnant woman and her two daughters, ages 2 and 8, were killed in the house fire in Kingsville Township. A GoFundMe page identifies the victims as mom Izzy and daughters Brooklynn and Celeste. Their last names were not yet given.

These spotty showers will be here through Wednesday. On Thursday, while a stray shower is possible too, the better chance of rain then will be in the evening. DNR halts geese gassing program for the year

MICHIGAN (WNEM) – The Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) said it has decided to pause its capture and euthanasia program for geese throughout the state following concerns from residents and lawmakers. In October 2024, the DNR changed its Canada goose removal policy from relocation to euthanasia by gas. While some see geese as pests, this new method sparked controversy among residents.
Former Wenona School up for auction

BAY CO., Mich. (WNEM) – The former Wenona School in Bay City has been put up for auction. On Monday, May 12, the Bay County Land Bank Authority said it is extending an invitation to the public to bid on the property, which is located at 313 Wenona Ave. in Bay City. Anyone who is interested in bidding will need to complete a purchase application, which can be found on the land bank’s website. The minimum bid starts at $3,500, the land bank said. Bidding will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11.
Chet Lemon, a star on the Detroit Tigers’ 1984 championship team, dies at 70

CHICAGO (AP) — Chet Lemon, a three-time All-Star outfielder who helped the Detroit Tigers win the 1984 World Series, has died after a lengthy battle with blood cancer. He was 70. The Tigers announced his death in a post on X on Thursday. “The Detroit Tigers join all of baseball in mourning the passing of Chet Lemon,” the team said. “While he was a World Series champion and All-Star on the field, perhaps his biggest impact came off of it.
