BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) — Boardman township swore in three new officers at its trustees meeting Monday, bringing the total on the force to 60. Brittany Christensen, Peyton Comer and Patrick Flara were all sworn in. Family members pinned the new officers’ badges — but the moment was even more special for Patrick as his dad, Doug Flara, pinned his on the same day he retired from the Boardman Police after 25 years. The trustees recognized the detective’s hard work over the last two decades.
