EAST LIVERPOOL, Ohio (WKBN) — This weekend, East Liverpool native and big-stage comedian John Caparulo will entertain a crowd at Mountaineer Resort and Casino. Like many things, comedy has changed over the years. First News talked to Caparulo about what he’s seen in his nearly 30 years of telling funny stories and side-splitting jokes. When John Caparulo started comedy in 1997, the business was much different. Now, there’s social media, and streaming services, but like anything, you adapt.

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WKBN) — It was a night of celebration at the Lake Club in Springfield Township as the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley held its annual meeting. All the people that help the United Way were invited to look back at 2024 and ahead at what’s to come in 2025. Last year was huge for our local United Way, from leading the recovery in downtown Youngstown after the Realty Tower Explosion to opening a new facility.
