WEST SACRAMENTO -- Phase 1 of the balloting for the 2025 MLB All-Star Game is now underway, and there is no shortage of superstar shortstops vying for spots on the American League side. Bobby Witt Jr., Gunnar Henderson and Bo Bichette are probably the first few names that come to mind for most as starting candidates for the position. The A’s seemingly let out their collective frustration built up from a 1-20 stretch over their last 21 games entering Thursday with an offensive barrage in a 14-3 win over the Twins at Sutter Health Park.

“That’s the defining quality of my first [70] games. I’ve been able to maintain a level of consistency I haven’t in the past.” Brent Rooker, 4-5 with two home runs on Wednesday, has gone more than two straight games without a hit only once this season. https://t.co/4fwmPBXJFY
