The brawl between two men broke out in Northgate Street at about 3.50pm on Monday. During the commotion, a man in his 40s suffered a head injury. He was then arrested on suspicion of affray at the scene. READ MORE: Sinkhole opens on road near supermarket One ambulance attended the scene following reports of a "violent incident". The man was assessed at the James Paget University Hospital before being taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre for questioning, where he remains.

The Wheels Festival took place along the Great Yarmouth seafront over the weekend – and it was the busiest on record with 68,500 visitors. The event, now in its ninth year, featured a wide variety of vehicles, including classic and contemporary cars, bikes, superbikes and even stunt performances. Festivalgoers enjoyed everything from classic and sports cars to quirky creations lining up along the seafront.

Coastguard received an Emergency Locator Transmitter alert at 12.34pm today that an aircraft was in trouble and needed help off Hemsby. Lifeboats from Hemsby, Caister and Great Yarmouth and Gorleston stations were sent out along with a Coastguard fixed-wing aircraft and helicopter to conduct a search of the area. However the search was called off after no evidence was found of a plane crashing.

There have been reports of an aircraft crash near Hemsby Beach Eyewitnesses say that workers from Hemsby and Caister Lifeboat team are currently on scene. It is currently unclear if there have been any injuries following the incident.
