The application has been made to put up the internally lit aluminium sign outside the Morrisons store on Holt Road in Cromer. The proposed totem-style pole would promote MFG EV Power, a network of ultra-rapid electric vehicle charging stations.

    The figures are according to data obtained through a Freedom of Information (FOI) request. Since April 1, anyone owning a second home in the district has been required to pay a 100pc premium on top of their overall council tax bill. It effectively doubles the amount they pay annually for properties not used as a main residence. Data shows that 4,631 homes in the North Norfolk District Council area are now subject to the charge, with the highest concentrations in coastal hotspots.

    The Mundesley Motor Show will take place on Sunday, July 27 in Gold Park, promising a wide range of vintage, classic and retro vehicles all registered before the year 2000.
