    Members of the National Education Union (NEU) working at Outwood Academy Hindley have walked out on strike today (Tuesday, June 3), due to concerns over extensions to the school day and an increase in workload.     On Saturday, May 31, patrolling officers from Greater Manchester Police's Neighbourhood Policing Team reported that they spotted a man on Railway Road, who they had previous intelligence on suspected drug dealing. The individual is reported to have evaded police, but was stopped and searched under the Section 23 Misuse of Drugs Act and found to be in possession of numerous wraps of a suspected Class A substance.

    One of the suspects charged is Charlie Burns, aged 20, of Wavertree Avenue in Atherton. The second is 27-year-old Dennis Crockett, of Belmont Drive in Liverpool. Both are charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin, in Warrington between April 30 and May 29 this year. Burns is also charged with possessing a knife in a public place and resisting a police officer in the execution of their duties.
