New month, same Rockies. The Colorado Rockies lost 5-3 against the New York Mets in Queens this morning. It was a homer-heavy affair on both side, but the Mets came out on top. The result was negative — 50 losses before 10 wins isn’t exactly something to hang your hat on — but there were some positives that came out of the game, including making it another close one for the sixth time in seven games.

We’ve officially made it, folks. It’s officially June 1st and the Colorado Rockies are still looking for their elusive 10th win of the season. They remain 9-49 on the entire season, and are 3-27 on the road. They are 0-5 on this current road trip with a three-game set against the Miami Marlins set to start tomorrow to conclude it. To be fair, four of the five losses were by two or fewer runs (they lost 8-2 last night).

Another quality start for Freeland It was another familiar story for Freeland as he falls to 0-8 on the season with a 5.72 ERA. He navigated through six innings on 90 pitches, allowing three runs on seven hits with four strikeouts and no walks.
