    On a day dedicated to mothers everywhere, there is no doubt that the Colorado Rockies (7-33) are a team only a mother could live this season. Thankfully, Sunday gave those mothers a day to be proud as they defeated the San Diego Padres (25-14), 9-3 at Coors Field. Germán Márquez was brilliant on the mound as his offense provided plenty of run support and defensive effort.
