Two days after he ignored a subpoena demanding he appear before the Navajo Nation Council as it kicked off its spring legislative session, Navajo Nation President Buu Nygren will deliver his State of the Navajo Nation address on April 23. It will be the first time that Nygren has appeared in the council chambers since January, when he cut his speech short and left before completing his quarterly State of the Navajo Nation address amid questions from delegates that he thought were disrespectful.

PHOENIX – Andy Biggs got a bump late Monday in his bid for governor: an endorsement from President Trump. In a post on his Truth Social media, the president acknowledged he already had said last year he was supporting Karrin Taylor Robson in her quest to be the Republican nominee to take on incumbent Democrat Katie Hobbs in 2026. PHOENIX – Running out of time and money, Gov. Katie Hobbs is upping the stakes in her bid to get more dollars for programs for the developmentally disabled. Without the dollars, the cash runs out at the end of the month. kAm|@C6 E@ E96 A@:?E[ w@33D D2:5 :E ?665D E@ 36 :?

October 1989, I found myself in a small hotel, the Londonderry Arms, on the Antrim Coast of Northern Ireland. During “The Troubles,” evidence of the sectarian strife was everywhere, even along that beautiful shoreline, complete as it is with the Giant’s Causeway, one of Northern Ireland’s big tourist attractions. My wife, Linda Gasparello, and I were reminded of the bitter divisions between Protestants and Catholics when we were stopped by British soldiers at a roadblock.
