Sen. Van Hollen departed for El Salvador this week, with hopes to meet with Abrego Garcia at the prison where he was held. Several hours after he said he was denied entry for a second time, Sen. Van Hollen posted on X that he finally had the chance to check on Garcia's well-being.

In a major surprise however, Connell won the tournament, based on Alabama's Guntersville Lake, by fishing in Tennessee. In spite of one-hour morning weather delay, Connell powered his boat 70 miles upriver from the takeoff point and fished the entire day immediately below Nickajack Dam in Marion County.
