A significant portion of Uptown New Orleans is under a boil water advisory until further notice following a watermain break. According to the Sewerage and Water Board, that line break happened on Upperline Street. The break sent water pressures in the area below the legally-required minimum of 20 pounds per square inch, necessitating the advisory. As of Saturday morning, crews are working to repair the water line.
