The Royal Hunt pub in New Road, North Ascot was completely demolished in May 2023 after developers won approval to replace it with eight flats. The pub was closed down in 2015, according to the What Pub website, with the building previously being owned by Greene King. However, the replacement project was granted approval at a Bracknell Forest Council planning meeting in July 2021 after two previous plans were refused in 2018.

Dozens of excited customers commented on the Facebook post expressing their excitement for the new store.
