It took over from the Cambridge Reporter in 2003 after the publisher decided to shut it down. The Times is part of the Metroland Media Group and is owned by the Torstar Corporation.

    A 37-year-old Cambridge resident was charged with stunt driving in Puslinch. Wellington County OPP said the incident occurred Wednesday, at approximately 8:15 p.m., during traffic enforcement when officers noticed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed and stopped the driver on Gore Road West. Besides stunt driving, the driver was charged with speeding and failing to surrender a permit for a motor vehicle.

    Waterloo Regional Police are searching for two men after a “hate-motivated” incident in Cambridge. Police said the incident occurred Friday at about 3:30 p.m., when a woman was in a parking lot in the area of Pinebush Road and Hespeler Road and two men approached in their vehicle and yelled slurs at her. The passenger then grabbed the victim’s clothing before fleeing the area, police added. No physical injuries were reported. Anyone with information can call police at 519-570-9777, extension 6370.

    Voters in Cambridge and Kitchener South—Hespeler will be able to meet and ask questions of the candidates running in the federal election on April 28. Voters can submit questions and hear from local candidates in two separate town halls hosted by Citizens for Cambridge, Waterloo Region Community Foundation, and the Cambridge Neighbourhood Organizations.
