The Bourne Enterprise
The Falmouth Enterprise traces its roots back to The Falmouth Local, which Lewis Foster Clark founded in a shoe store on Main Street in 1886. Initially located by Shivericks Pond, The Local later relocated to the current site of Caline for Kids. In 1895, Charles Sumner Burgess acquired The Local, changed its name to The Falmouth Enterprise, and continued to publish it for the following three decades.
