LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — A Jackson County man assaulted his father with a handgun in Summit Township and now faces charges for his actions, according to the sheriff’s department. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office reports that deputies and Michigan State Police troopers responded to an assault at Taylor St. in Summit Twp. at approximately 10:20 p.m. on Saturday, June 21. The office says dispatch advised first responders that the handgun was pointed at the father inside the home.
