More time need for federal ice storm relief request

Gretchen Whitmer has asked for more time from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to submit the state’s request for a major disaster declaration following a severe ice storm that struck last month. The ice storm knocked out power and communications across Michigan’s upper and lower peninsulas. The storm also left hundreds of miles of roads blocked by fallen trees and debris throughout the region.

CATA changes regular service for Easter Sunday

CATA says they will not operate regular Sunday services, including Fixed-Route, Spec-Tran, Lot Link, Night Owl and CATA Rydz programs during the holiday.
