Crewe Chronicle
The Crewe Chronicle, which started out as the Crewe and Nantwich Chronicle, is a weekly newspaper in the UK that made its debut on March 21, 1874. It was established by the editor of the Chester Chronicle to provide a progressive option against the Conservative-leaning Crewe Guardian. Currently owned by Trinity Mirror, the Crewe Chronicle is released every Wednesday in a tabloid style and is priced at 82p. As of June 2012, the newspaper had a circulation of 12,928 copies.

Police and firefighters are dealing with a fire at a building in Ellesmere Port town centre. The empty former bank building on Whitby Road and the corner of Heathfield Road has been cordoned off. A road closure is also in place on Whitby Road from the Sutton Way junction heading towards the town centre. Five fire engines are at the scene with police cars and a van also in attendance. The building was used as a bank for several years. It was most recently occupied by a theatre group until May 2023.

Police have released CCTV footage of a man they want to speak to following incidents of criminal damage at a block of flats in a Cheshire town. Officers say two incidents of graffiti being daubed on the walls of White House flats in Spath Lane, Wilmslow, and paint being thrown over cars have occurred between April 15 and May 10. Then in the early hours of May 10, three cars were set on fire. No one was injured as a result of the blaze which was dealt with by one fire engine from Wilmslow.

Chester Zoo will help wildlife in Cheshire to flourish thanks to a £4m on funding boost. The zoo, an international conservation charity, has been awarded the cash by the National Lottery Heritage Fund to support its 'Networks for Nature' initiative - an ambitious project to restore wildlife habitats across the region. The funds will be used to create or restore 20 ponds, nearly 3,000 metres of hedgerow and more than 100 hectares of habitat.
