Heavy rain in Somerset County, Pennsylvania, caused flooding and prompted disaster declarations in several municipalities. School closures and road impacts were reported, and a PennDOT meeting was postponed due to the flooding. There were 11 water rescues on May 13 by local first responders and water rescue teams, when a day-long torrential downpour in southern Somerset County caused flooding, evacuations and a state of emergency status.
Flooding caused road closures in Meyersdale, Garrett on May 14.

"I stepped away for four years and to be honest, I hadn't been to more than one or two basketball games in that period of time," said Fyock. "This past spring, I started to get the itch.
