CMU had already done some damage in the bottom of the fourth, after Rocco DiFrancesco and Paul Schoenfeld got the party started with a pair of RBI’s Kolby Felix doubled to bring Schoenfeld home to score to go up 3-1.

(KKCO) - The Fruita Monument Wildcats Baseball Team are champions of the Southwestern League once again, taking down the Grand Junction Tigers to clinch the title at a final of 6-3. The win avenges a loss to the Tigers earlier in the week, where Grand Junction took a game from Fruita Monument in extra innings, to make Friday’s matchup decide the league champ this season.

(KKCO) - The Grand Junction Tigers Lacrosse Team struggled to crack the Steamboat Springs Sailors defense, and have a stellar season come to an end in the second round of the playoffs at a final of 11-2. The Sailors controlled time of possession for majority of the first quarter, but could not get a goal in net after some stellar work by the Junction Goalie, Gordie Steidel.

(KKCO) - The Colorado Mesa Mavericks Baseball Team win their second round matchup in the Rocky Mountain Athletics Conference Tournament, sending their rival CSU Pueblo Thunderwolves packing after a 9-6 CMU victory. CMU was set up to potentially eliminate the Pack after CMU took down UCCS in the first round of the tournament. After falling behind 1-0 early CMU tied and retook the lead, without swinging the bat in the bottom of the first.

    MADISON, Wis. (WMTV/Gray News) - The father of a Wisconsin girl who killed two people in the shooting at Abundant Life Christian School has been arrested and faces felony charges. According to the Madison Police Department, Jeffrey Rupnow, 42, was arrested around 3:45 a.m. Thursday. An arrest warrant was unsealed at 1 p.m. Thursday.
