    Donald J. Emery, 91, of Galesburg, Illinois, passed away at 10:20 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family. Donald was born on December 13, 1933, in Galesburg, the son of James A. and Florence (Barlow) Emery. He married Darlene Boone in 1957. He later married Connie (Abbott) Earp on June 28, 1987, in Galesburg. She survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Vivia M.

Alleman senior midfielder Gretchen Ellis was voted MVP of the 11-player team in a vote of Western Big 6 soccer coaches. Coaches nominated athletes from their teams but could not vote for their own athletes. Streaks junior midfielder Madalyn Lardi was named to the second-team.

    It is with deep sorrow that we announce the unexpected loss of our beloved son and brother. Steven Gaylord, age 57, was born January 22, 1968, in Russellville, Arkansas, to Charles and Sharon Warnick Gaylord. He died May 18, 2025. He grew up in Wataga and Galesburg, graduating from ROWVA High School in 1986 and later attended Carl Sandburg College, graduating with honors, receiving degrees in IT and certification as a CNC operator.

    Maureen “Mo” Kay Kinkaid, 71, of Monmouth, IL, passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Legacy Estates in Monmouth. Mo was born on April 6, 1954, in Springfield, IL, the daughter of William Ross and Patricia Ann (Egnor) Hines. She was raised and educated in Monmouth, graduating from Monmouth High School in 1972. In 1973, she attended Sawyer Secretarial School in Davenport, IA, where she met her lifelong best friend, Jean. In 1976, she married Mike Kinkaid in Monmouth, and they later divorced.
