An Instagram DM (direct message) from Grammy Award-winning artist SZA, who recently shared the Super Bowl LIX halftime stage with Kendrick Lamar, prompted Scottsdale-based True Food Kitchen to bring back and revamp its Kale Caesar Salad.

PHOENIX — Arizona State University generates a massive amount of income for the state, according to a Monday news report from university officials. ASU’s Office of the University Economist reports that over 25% of working Arizonans with a bachelor’s degree obtained theirs from ASU. The taxes they pay, along with the university’s investments, spinoffs and research, contribute a whopping $6.1 billion to the state’s gross domestic product, according to the report.

PHOENIX — Eggstasy, a brunch restaurant chain, opened its eighth Arizona location in Queen Creek on Monday. The latest rendition of the Valley-based concept is located in the QC District off of Rittenhouse and Ellsworth roads. Besides serving eggs in every conceivable way, Eggstasy boasts 11 different pancake variations, including stacks of Nutella red velvet and lemon ricotta for guests to satisfy their sweet tooth.

PHOENIX — Cooperative work between U.S. and Mexican law enforcement led to the arrest of two individuals and the indictment of seven operators all involved in fentanyl trafficking, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Arizona. A drug trafficking leader, Heriberto Jacobo Perez, and member of the same group, Jesus Bernardo Rodriguez, were taken into Mexican custody last week.

PHOENIX — Harkins Theatres in Arizona is offering moviegoers the chance to see all films that were nominated for this year’s Academy Award’s Best Picture for $5 per film. The deal will run from Feb. 14 to March 2 at select locations on a rotating schedule. For guests who want to see all 10 films, Harkins is offering the All Access Pass that allows moviegoers admission to the films for $40.
