Liberty Fire Chief Douglas Theobald said they were called around 9:25 to a house on East Montrose Street for a fire, but when crews got there, they saw the house had exploded.

Lottery officials said David Serkin, of Lethbridge in Alberta, first won $500,000 back in August during a LOTTO MAX drawing. He then won $1 million in November during a LOTTO 6/49 drawing. Serkin is taking home another major prize after purchasing a LOTTO 6/49 from the Shell gas station on Fairway Plaza Road S.

OAKLAND, California (WJW) – A young spider monkey named Violeta is enjoying her new home at the Oakland Zoo after being rescued alongside rattlesnakes during a drug bust last month. The investigation started when deputies with the Solano County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle in the city of Vallejo on May 6. During the traffic stop, deputies confiscated half a pound of methamphetamine and arrested 50-year-old Clifford Vincenty, the department said on Facebook at the time.
