The Eric J. Smalls Memorial Scholarship was established by United Elite Basketball, a nonprofit youth basketball organization, in memory of Eric smalls, the third grader who was killed.

He had a gun. Richmond County deputies arrive just in time to save her life, interrupting a plan to set her on fire. “This could have been stopped way before it happened,” said Matilyn.
