(KHQA) — The Nauvoo-Colusa School District sent out a letter to the surrounding area saying tax appeals and the removal of properties from the tax rolls in the Nauvoo business area have had a significant impact on funding for the community’s schools. QUINCY, Ill. (KHQA) — The Early Childhood Center in Quincy will be switching to the "Frog Street" curriculum starting next year. The school says the new curriculum is nine units and provides all children with a seamless core curriculum through literacy, math, science, social-emotional, social studies, and gross and fine motor skills — all in one curriculum. Early Childhood Director Sara Cramer says this curriculum will help meet all learning standards across the spectrum.

ADAMS COUNTY, Ill. (KHQA) — After representatives refused to move a proposed solar farm project in Ursa last week, the Adams County Board held a public meeting to hear concerns about the proposal. Greenkey Solar, based in Oregon, has proposed a 4-megawatt, 27-acre solar farm that would sit near residential homes in Ursa. The board, which is being asked to approve a special use permit for the project, wanted an opportunity to ask questions of Greenkey.
