WDAM-TV is a television station in Southeastern Mississippi's Pine Belt area, affiliated with both NBC and ABC. It is based in Laurel and transmits a high definition digital signal on VHF channel 7. The station's transmitter is located at its studios on U.S. 11 in Moselle, which is in southern Jones County. Raycom Media owns WDAM-TV, and viewers can watch it on Comcast channel 4, as well as in high definition on digital channel 432. Some of the popular syndicated shows featured on WDAM include The Meredith Vieira Show, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy!, Inside Edition, and Judge Judy, among others.

    PINE BELT, Miss. (WDAM) - Mississippi airports are getting more than $21 million in new grants from the Federal Aviation Administration. The money will fund improvements to runways, lighting and signs. Airports in Prentiss and Columbia are among those getting grant money. The Prentiss-Jefferson Davis County Airport has been awarded two grants: A $600,000 Airport Improvement Program grant and a $110,000 Airport Infrastructure grant.

Tariffs on products made in China could light a fire under prices this year. Earlier this year, the Trump Administration placed a 145% tariff on Chinese imports, later lowering it to 30% in May.     LAUREL, Miss. (WDAM) - A Laurel 14-year-old was charged as an adult with attempted murder in a shooting that sent another teen to the hospital. Tamarian Barnes was charged Thursday in connection to a Saturday shooting that critically wounded JaQuan Dean, Laurel Police Department Capt. Michael Reaves said. The shooting took place as Dean sat in a car near Susie B. Ruffin Avenue between East 18th and Chantilly streetsDean was taken to Forrest General Hospital in critical condition, Reaves said.
