    MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Tuesday, a Memphis City Council committee voted in favor of adding license plate readers to interstates around the city. Ninety-four cameras will be implemented to start with. Memphis Police Chief CJ Davis says the cameras will first be put at entrance and exit ramps where there is high volume of traffic. They will be used to help track suspects wanted for crimes like robberies or carjackings. Davis says this will not work on paper tags.

    RIPLEY COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) - A Kentucky man was seriously injured in a crash involving a deer in Ripley County on Monday night, June 23. The crash happened around 8:30 p.m. on MO 142, approximately 9 miles west of Doniphan. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 44-year-old Grayson man was driving a Harley-Davidson westbound when his motorcycle hit a deer in the road and flipped. MSHP said the motorcyclist was flown to a hospital with serious injuries.
